L’associazione degli ex-parlamentari europei propone une collaborazione interessante

 The European Parliament Former Members Association (FMA), an NGO supported by the European Parliament, invites organisations (ED centers, universities, NGOs etc.) to bring European Parliament closer to citizens. The former MEPs are ready to hold seminars, presentations, speak in conferences or take part in public debates. This initiative reflects the wish of the ED centers voiced at the ED Innauguration Event in February 2009.

Why is this initiative worth your attention?

• Former MEPs:
  • are qualified speakers,
  • have in-house knowledge and direct experience with the EU,
  • are not directly involved in the campaign for the next EP period.

What actions can your REP take?

• Organise your own event with a former MEP,
• Assist ED centers in your country in case they contact you regarding this initiative, and/or
• Invite a former MEP on behalf of ED centers which show interest in this initiative.

How it works?

• Your organisation proposes a time and venue where MEP comes (see application form attached),
• FMA will choose among applicants,
• If chosen, your organisation can select a former MEP from a list FMA proposes to you,
• Your organisation covers transport, accommodation and a per diem + administrative costs of 100 EUR.
