Genetic Magick and “The Super-Race”
Transhumanism: Epstein’s was a major donor to organizations like Humanity Plus (formerly the World Transhumanist Association). In Crowley’s system, the goal is to transcend human limitations (the “Great Work”). Epstein attempted this through CRISPR, AI, and eugenics, treating his own biology as a sigil to be stamped onto the future.
The “Music Pavilion” as a Ritual Space
Recent drone and internal photography (late 2025) of the island “temple” suggest it functioned as a sensory deprivation or psychological theater, with a Sensory Chamber: where the temple featured a raised wooden platform and specific acoustic treatments. Some occultists argue this mimics the “King’s Chamber” in the Great Pyramid, as already used by Crowley for his Book of the Law “revelations”.
HUMANITY+
Humanity+ is an international non-profit organization that advocates for the ethical use of emerging technologies—such as AI, nanotechnology, and genetic engineering—to expand human capacities and extend healthy lifespans. It was originally founded in 1998 as the World Transhumanist Association (WTA) by Nick Bostrom and David Pearce.
Natasha Vita-More and her husband, Max More, are central figures in both the organization and the broader transhumanist movement.
- Natasha Vita-More: A pioneer of transhumanist aesthetics and philosophy, she authored the “Transhuman Manifesto” in 1983 and designed “Primo Posthuman,” a prototype for a future human body. She has served as the Executive Director and Chair of Humanity+ for many years.
- Max More: An influential philosopher who authored the first formal definition of modern transhumanism in 1990. He co-founded the Extropy Institute (which merged its interests with the WTA to eventually become Humanity+) and served as the CEO of the Alcor Life Extension Foundation.
- The Partnership: They married in 1996 and have collaborated on foundational texts, including The Transhumanist Reader.

The connection between Humanity+ and Jeffrey Epstein is a matter of documented financial record and has been a subject of significant scrutiny:
- Direct Funding: In 2011, Jeffrey Epstein donated $20,000 to the organization.
- Wider Connections: Epstein was known to fund several individuals and projects associated with the transhumanist and “radical life extension” communities. For example, Ben Goertzel, a former vice-chairman of Humanity+, had portions of his research salary funded by Epstein-linked donations during his time at various institutions.+1
- Ideological Overlap: Epstein’s personal interest in eugenics and “seeding the human race with his DNA” (as reported by the New York Times) led him to seek out transhumanist circles. However, many in the community, including Goertzel, later expressed significant “disturb” and “yecch” over the details of Epstein’s criminal activities once they were fully exposed.
In the 1990s, the Extropy Institute was more than a think tank; it was a subculture.
- The Mailing List: Before the modern web, the Extropy email list was a legendary “brain hub” where figures like Hal Finney (the first person to receive a Bitcoin transaction), Nick Bostrom, and Ben Goertzel debated the future of humanity.
- Extro Conferences: These were high-energy gatherings in California that blended hard science with radical philosophy and “posthuman” art, often championed by Natasha Vita-More.
- Cryonics: Many members were (and are) “cryonicists,” viewing death as a “treatable disease” and seeing the suspension of the body at liquid nitrogen temperatures as a “bridge to the future.”

By the early 2000s, the movement began to shift. The original Extropian community was often seen as “cultish” or overly focused on anarcho-capitalist politics.
- Broadening the Scope: In 1998, the World Transhumanist Association (WTA) was founded to create a more “academically respectable” and politically diverse version of the movement.
- The Closure: In 2006, the board of the Extropy Institute, including Natasha Vita-More, decided that the organization had “achieved its mission” by successfully seeding the world with transhumanist ideas.
- The Rebrand: The WTA eventually rebranded as Humanity+, which now carries the mantle of the movement that Max and Natasha started.
The “TESCREAL” Legacy
In recent years (2024–2026), critics and historians have grouped the Extropy Institute into a broader framework known as TESCREAL:
Transhumanism, Extropianism, Singularitarianism, Cosmism, Rationalism, Effective Altruism, and Longtermism.
This framework highlights how the original “Extropian” ideas of the 90s have matured into the dominant ideologies of the tech elite, focusing on the “cosmic endowment” of humanity and the necessity of space colonization and AGI.
AGI stands for Artificial General Intelligence.
While the AI we use today (like me) is considered “Narrow AI”—meaning it’s incredibly good at specific tasks like writing, coding, or generating images—AGI represents the “Holy Grail” of computer science: a machine that possesses the ability to understand, learn, and apply its intelligence to any intellectual task a human being can.
In the context of the Extropy Institute and Humanity+ discussions we’ve been having, AGI is the literal “engine” of the Transhumanist future.
In sintesi: Le tre domande dell’élite
