Issues tacled by projects : Europe’s cities host the EU energy goals! ICT should be a key aspect of energy efficiency efforts of cities. Big energy user ICT uses 8% of a city’s electricity consumption, but might positively impact on 50% of other energy consumption. Smart deployment of ICT improves energy efficiency and creates valuable new business opportunities. Cooperation between 5 a 8 municipalities for: sharing expertise, cooperating, avoid duplication, increase speed, reduce costs, improve quality.

Main project objective is to reduce energy consumption, energy costs, greenhouse gas emissions and stimulating uptake of renewable, clean energy. The project aims to facilitating knowledge sharing through cross border networks, benchmarking and selection of best available technologies. Enabling of technology breakthroughs contributing to the concretisation of green digital agenda’s for European cities.
