Sei nato nel 1992? C’è una call per te
As part of the events surrounding the 20th anniversary of the single market, the European Commission has launched a creativity competition for 20-year olds entitled ‘Generation 1992’. Young Europeans born in 1992 are invited to get creative and voice their views on the EU. How do they feel about it? To what extent are they aware of the freedoms offered by the single market, and how would they like to see it develop?
20-year-olds are invited to share their views, experiences, insights and expectations of the single market by picking up a pen, paintbrush, camera, computer, tablet or mobile phone and letting their creativity flow! Submissions may be from individuals or groups, and should fall into one of the following categories: education and citizenship; jobs and entrepreneurship; culture and leisure; and consumers and environment.
The competition kicks off on 11 April 2012. Its progress can be followed through the social media and the generation1992 website. 20 finalists will be invited to participate in the European Single Market Week in Brussels from October 15th to 19th 2012, where their winning entries will be featured at the award ceremony on 15 October. Winners for each category will be offered 4-week internships in the European Institutions as well as in international companies. In addition, prizes including tablets, smartphones, cameras, MP3 players, vouchers and travel passes will be awarded on an on-going basis from April to September.
